The eagerly anticipated new single by Lady Gaga is a gay anthem to surpass all others, according to Elton John.
The singer made the comment – about the forthcoming track entitled Born This Way – to US publication Rolling Stone.
"Born This Way is an them to obliterate I Will Survive," he said.
US blogger Perez Hilton added: "Fans can expect all the hype to be true with 'Born This Way' and with the album.
"And you know what? It's a very gay song - unapologetically, gay-in-your-face gay - but it's also a universal song that can relate to everyone. To all of us outsiders, to all of us freaks, to all of us who feel different. And the music is undeniable. It sounds like a smash. It is a smash. It is one of the best songs of Gaga's career."
Lady Gaga is nominated for a number of Grammy awards including: Album of the Year for The Fame Monster, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for Bad Romance, Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals for Telephone featuring Beyoncé and Best Pop Vocal Album for The Fame Monster. Results will be revealed on 13 February.
